Westside venues sign up to the new ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ dining scheme

Pubs, bars and restaurants across the Westside BID district are gearing up for a once in a lifetime culinary treat aimed at giving a much-needed boost to the hospitality industry.

The government-funded ’Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme starts on Monday 3 August and will continue over the following four weeks until August 31.

The initiative was introduced by the Government to encourage people to return to their favourite venues in an effort to rebuild the economy after lockdown due to coronavirus.

Participating venues will offer a 50% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks, up to a maximum of £10 per diner, every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout the month.

So far, 16 restaurants, pubs and bars in the Westside BID area have signed up to take part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. They are:

  • All Bar One
  • Bank Birmingham
  • Canal House
  • Hilton Garden Inn
  • Mr Mulligans
  • O’Neill’s
  • Piccolino
  • Pitcher and Piano
  • Pulperia
  • Siamais
  • The Alchemist
  • The Brasshouse
  • The Bulls Head
  • Velvet Music Rooms
  • Vietnamese Street Kitchen, and
  • Yorks Café.

Diners do not need to obtain a voucher to use the scheme, and there is no minimum spend.

The discount will be automatically available to the public at participating establishments, which will then claim a reimbursement from the government.

People can use the scheme as many times as they like during August, and the discount applies to all diners in a group regardless of the number.
