Westside BID has launched its very own newsletter

The first edition of a quarterly newsletter called Westside World has been launched, edited by a former daily newspaper editor.

The printed magazine covers the latest news, business events and characters from the Westside business district of Birmingham.

Media consultant Steve Dyson, who used to edit the Birmingham Mail, has been brought in to gather stories, design and edit Westside World.

Mike Olley, general manager of Westside BID, said: “Westside is a rich and diverse part of Birmingham that’s full of pleasant surprises.

“Westside World is hoping to fuse this multi-billion pound district together, capturing both the business acumen and the great characters, venues and events that make it so unique.

“This newsletter is for the people who work here, and so we’d like people to come forward with  stories about their own businesses and organisations for future editions.

“We want you to think of Westside BID as your village pump, where people come and tell their great tales of success, and Westside World will be our printed version of that – also available electronically and via social media.”

Anyone with potential stories and pictures for Westside World, or who wants a free supply of future newsletters, should email info@westsidebid.co.uk.
