Westside’s free ‘well-being on Wednesday’ programme launching for members

The first ‘Be kind to your mind on Westside’ event is launching this Wednesday, organised by Coaches for Change and Westside BID.

Luisa Huggins, media and communications manager at Westside BID, explained that the rolling ‘well-being on Wednesday’ programme would continue until at least the end of this year.

The first three weeks of events are online, culminating in an in-person activity every fourth week.

The first virtual event will coincide with National Fitness Day which takes place on 20 September 2023.

All staff working on Westside will receive a private link to the virtual class via email, and the workouts will be stored, meaning that favourite workout classes can be repeated.

Some of the virtual classes will include yoga, pilates and tabata.

Ms Huggins said organisers had worked hard to create a unique experience for the first physical event, which will take place in October, with more information to be released soon.

She added: “We are thrilled to be working with Coaches for Change on this incredible programme, which we believe is the start of something incredibly important and a needed service to staff in the area.”
