Heidi’s offering FREE BEER for fans cheering England to World Cup victory against USA tonight

A new World Cup FanZone offering free beer for fans cheering on England in their match against the USA has been launched at Heidi’s Bier Bar on Westide.

The Qatar Airways FanZone for England fans will be spread across the second and third floors of Heidi’s at 195-196 Broad Street in time for the 7pm kick-off.

Two free beers are redeemable for fans who pre-book tickets using the code FIFA22 at Heidi’s via this website: https://heidisbierbar.uk/birmingham/purchase-tickets/.

Heidi’s Bier Bar is normally an Oktoberfest and apres ski bar, well known for its drinks deals and waitresses in pigtails wearing traditional Tyrolean dresses.

Open daily from midday to 3am, Heidi’s is now showing all World Cup games and has teamed up with Qatar Airways to launch the FanZone for England supporters to watch the game.

Kyle Carter, general manager at Heidi’s, said: “We are delighted to be able to support England fans in the aftermath of such a great opening game against Iran.

“It’s fantastic that we won 6- 2 and now everyone at Heidi’s is hoping to get behind our boys for another goal-fest. With two free beers on the house, it’s the best place in Brum for kick-off.”

Mike Olley, general manager of Westside BID, said: “What a great zeitgeist initiative by Heidi’s to capture the excitement of England fans cheering their team on to victory. This is typical of how our venues are always thinking about what their customers want and making sure they deliver it in style.”

The FanZone has been launched by events organiser Diva Partnerships Birmingham Ltd on behalf of Qatar Airways.

Romi Kanungo, chief executive of Diva Partnerships said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer England fans a place to get together, share the passion of football and cheer on Kane and the rest of the squad.

“After the 6-2 win on Monday we’re expecting the atmosphere on Friday to be electric.”

Heidi’s is not the only Westside venue preparing to handle crowds for the 7pm England v USA match. Westside bars screening the match include The Canal House, Lloyds Bar, Walkabout, Felsons, O Bar, the Brasshouse, Coyote Ugly, Figure of Eight, The Malt House, O’Neill’s, Velvet Music Rooms, Grosvenor Casino, Tap and Spile and the Prince of Wales.

Meanwhile, Westside hotels showing the match include Park Regis, Hampton by Hilton, Premier Inn Broad Street, Novotel, Jury’s Inn, the Hyatt, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza and Premier Inn Bridge Street.
