Recycle your Christmas cards at Broadway Plaza for charity

Broadway Plaza will be teaming up once again with the Charlie Ramsey Research Fund to repeat the growing success of their Christmas card recycling.

The scheme is located near to Five Ways roundabout and is encouraging visitors to pop into any of the venues onsite and recycle their cards collection boxes, which will be in place from the 30 December through to the 31 January 2023.

Broadway Plaza will be pledging 20p per kilo of Christmas cards collected and are hoping to raise over £200 for the Charlie Ramsey Research Fund – so they need lots of Christmas cards!

Natal Chapman, centre manager at Broadway Plaza, said: “This initiative has been growing year on year, with our combined amount to date raising over £1,000 for the charity.

“This is not only a great green and sustainable option to old cards, but also valuable in raising essential funds for the work the charity carries out within the local community.”

Mike Olley, general manager of Westside BID, said: “What a great scheme and such a brilliant way for businesses free up their offices from some of the Christmas clutter!”
