Lights, camera, action! Westside BID is getting into the film studio business!
The BID is to officially open its new studio on Wednesday 3 April with a launch event at its premises on Broad Street.
The state-of-the-art facility will be available for BID members to books and use free of charge, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am to 4pm.
External companies can also utilise the studio, but there will be a fee for the service.
Once fully operational, the studio can be used for social media filming and creating videos for meetings, as well as other creative requirements.
In addition to the studio space, a green room is also available for free hire, where people will be able to watch what is being filmed.
Refreshments can be stocked in the green room, for which there is an additional cost. Likewise, a technician will be available for hire if businesses require this to complete their filming.
Luisa Huggins, marketing manager for Westside BID, said: “We’re thrilled to be offering our new studio for members to use free of charge.
“This is yet another example of how we are committed to helping our businesses to market themselves, and we look forward to seeing the results.”
As well as being available for hire, the new studio will be the proud home of the very first Westside podcast called ‘Westside Live’. The podcasts will uncover the untold stories of Westside, together with interviews with local businesses and the occasional wellbeing feature.
The launch event of the new studio will be at 12.30pm on 3 April. Unfortunately, due to capacity limitations, tickets are only available on a first come, first served basis.
Alternatively, a separate viewing appointment can be arranged for anyone unable to attend the launch event.
