Get creative while meeting new contacts on Westside

A Westside restaurant is inviting local business people to attend a networking event – while also getting the chance to make something special for their home.

The Distillery in Sheepcote Street is to host a Networking and Clay-making evening on Thursday 21 March, from 5 to 7.30pm.

As well as having plenty of opportunity to network, the event also features a two-hour clay making session with Rachel Akers from Akers of Art, with the participants able to take their hoped-for masterpiece home with them.

Tickets for the event cost £32.50 per person (plus booking fee) which also includes a welcome drink and a slice of pizza* on top of the clay-making workshop.

The price of each ticket includes a £10 donation to mental health charity Birmingham Mind, which was founded in 1962.

A spokesperson for Birmingham Mind, which is based in Quayside Tower, Broad Street, said: “Art is known to be a great stress reliever and has a positive impact on mental health.

“This is a brilliant opportunity to practice mindfulness by switching off for a few hours and trying something different.

“So, whether you are completely new to clay-making or you are a bit of a pro, this event is for everyone!”
