Bookings are steadily increasing for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe which is being staged at the Birmingham Rep on Westside this winter.
Thousands of families have already planned festive outings with their kids to watch the smash-hit stage adaptation of CS Lewis’s best-selling novel at the Centenary Square theatre.
The family-friendly production, which played to packed houses at The Gillian Lynne Theatre in London’s West End last winter, will run in Birmingham from Tuesday 14 November to Sunday 28 January 2024.
With its magical storytelling, bewitching stagecraft and incredible puppets, the show is guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages as they step through the wardrobe into the magical kingdom of Narnia.
Sean Foley, artistic director at The Rep, said: “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a wondrous and beloved family tale which The Rep is delighted to be presenting to the city this Christmas.
“This spectacular show brings the snowy world of Narnia to magical life, with amazing stagecraft, astounding large-scale puppets, and live on-stage music and song. The production is a thrilling theatrical experience for all ages.

CS Lewis’s book has been engrossing readers young and old for over 70 years, selling 85 million copies in 60 languages.
The stage adaptation is directed by Michael Fentiman, based on the original production by Sally Cookson and presented by Birmingham Rep in association with Elliott and Harper Productions and Catherine Schreiber.
