Hundreds of office workers in Brindleyplace received free ice creams this week in a fun summer initiative planned by Westside BID and staff from the Pitcher & Piano.
Enoch White, one of Westside BID’s star street wardens, dressed up in a red and white pinstriped jacket and straw boater hat to help deliver the vanilla ice cream from a branded trike on Wednesday lunchtime. You can watch our video of the event here:
Luisa Huggins, media and communications manager at Westside BID, said: “We distributed more than 300 ice creams outside offices in Brindleyplace, leaving staff members of corporate businesses feeling refreshed and happy.
“We organised this handout of delicious treats to both promote a local business and to enhance the business environment in Brindleyplace by helping to make staff feel happy.
“We were delighted to work with the Pitcher & Piano, which is a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner with your colleagues.”
Tayla Hearst, of the Pitcher & Piano, said: “It’s gone really well and lots of people have come out to enjoy themselves. It was surprising to see so many people and great to get to know so many new faces. I’m glad we’ve helped to bring a bit of joy to people on Brindleyplace.”
