A sales manager familiar to two prominent Westside venues has been shortlisted for a prestigious award – alongside one of the area’s top hotels and a leading restaurant.
Sigita Pjampite has spent the past year working for Unique Venues Birmingham, whose clients include The Rep theatre and the Library of Birmingham, both in Centenary Square.
And she has made such a strong impact in her role that she has now been shortlisted for the title of Sales Manager/Business Development Manager of the Year in the 2023 City of Birmingham Business Awards.
Westside is also represented in the annual awards by the shortlisting of the Hyatt Regency in Bridge Street in the Hotel of the Year category, and the Bank Restaurant, Brindleyplace, in the Restaurant/Bar of the Year section.
Voting closes on 8 September with the awards ceremony taking place on 19 October at the Park Regis Hotel in Broad Street.
The business awards were established by Downtown Birmingham in 2017 to ‘acknowledge and celebrate’ companies and entrepreneurs that have made a ‘successful and significant’ contribution to economic growth in the city region.
Sarah Millington, Business Development Director at Unique Venues Birmingham, described Sigita as an “amazing” sales manager who had done a very good job in her 12 months with them.
She added: “This is the first time we have put anyone forward for this award, and being shortlisted alone is a huge achievement. We are extremely proud of her.”
Sarah said Sigita’s role was to create awareness of the theatre and library venues and support their commercial activities.
