Westside arranges free activity class to support Mental Health month

More than two and a half million people are currently not working due to mental health problems, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Whilst the nation re-adjusts to the office as opposed to hybrid working, we recognise the challenges this may inflict on people’s mental health and lifestyles.

And with the month of May being Mental Health Month, the team at Westside BID will provide support by organising a free Body Jam Class for people to enjoy.

Body Jam emulates a Zumba class, so attendees can expect a real treat. In addition to what’s already offered, anyone using this Westside offer will also receive a free three-day gym pass, to enjoy state of the art equipment at Nuffield Health.

The 55-minute class takes place on the Wednesday 31 May at 2pm at Nuffield Health on Broadway Plaza.

Luisa Huggins, media and communications manager at Westside BID, said: “Mental Health is extremely important, and we are keen to support our colleagues.

“Unfortunately, mental health does not discriminate, and you never know what your colleagues are going though in their personal lives.

“It’s good to be kind and spread joy, where you can. I’m extremely pleased that we are teaming up with our friends at Nuffield health on this incredible, empowering experience”.
