It is said to have more canals than Venice. And one company on Westside is happily taking advantage of Birmingham’s prized asset and attraction.
GoBoat describes itself as the UK’s largest self-drive day boat rental business with a fleet of more than 50 fully electric picnic boats across the country.
And it is now on the lookout for a location manager at its Birmingham operation, based at The Water’s Edge, Brindleyplace, in order to help the business grow.
GoBoat, which launched in 2017, said it currently has four “fantastic locations” across Birmingham and London with “exciting expansion plans” in the coming years.
It was now advertising for a full-time location manager at Brindleyplace through to the end of October, when the boating season draws to a close.

The new location manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at Brindleyplace, with experience of working with boats and water one of the key skills and experiences required.
Key responsibilities for the role include supporting the delivery of community cruises and canal clean-ups.

GoBoat said the successful candidates would be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and enjoyable operation of their electric boat hire services, and have a keen interest in maintenance and water-related activities.
