An art gallery on Westside is looking to take on some additional staff to help maintain and continue its success story.
The Ikon Gallery in Oozells Square, Brindleyplace, is seeking a full-time design and communications manager, a part-time social media coordinator, and a number of trustees.
The contemporary art gallery, founded in 1965, offers free admission to its 200,000-plus visitors a year.
The Ikon says that its communications and digital teams work closely with all departments to ensure effective delivery of its extensive artistic programme.
The design and communications manager will be responsible for looking after the Ikon’s design outputs, marketing campaigns, press office and digital communications. A salary of £22,000 is awaiting the successful applicant.
The social media coordinator will be responsible for scheduling the Ikon’s social media posts, working closely with the new design and communications manager and head of communications. This part-time role pays £20,600 pro rata.
Both roles have a deadline for applications of Monday 19 September.
In addition to the two new permanent roles, the Ikon is also seeking new voluntary trustees to join its board at what it says is an exciting time for the gallery.
It says the new trustees will help to support the chair of the board, director and other staff in the Ikon’s future programme and company development.
The deadline for trustee applications is Friday 30 September.
