Ladies say ‘Cheers’ to International Women’s Day on Westside

More than two dozen well-dressed women turned out for the first Hats & Heels Network for Ladies meeting on Westside since lockdown.

The event at the Hilton Garden Inn at 1 Brunswick Square in Brindleyplace was timed to coincide with International Women’s Day on 8 March, celebrating the achievements of women.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon tea of delicious cakes and sandwiches while they listened to inspirational guest speakers Patricia White, chief executive of Suited for Success, and Lorraine Olley, founder of Hats & Heels.

The event also saw guests sharing their own challenges and stories of success as they networked with each other.

“It was a fabulous afternoon filled with lots of incredible ladies, who were all keen to network and uplift each other. That’s what International Women’s Day is all about!”

Lorraine Olley, the founder of Hats & Heels, said: “I was so pleased that the Hat & Heels Network for Ladies played such an important role on Westside for International Women’s Day.

“It was a really successful event, and it was great to be in the company of such positive energy.

“International Women’s Day was an important time for women to take stock, reflect and acknowledge their contribution in the workplace and in the home – as partners, wives, mothers, carers, sisters, aunties and more. It really is something to celebrate!”
