Dive into the ultimate underwater adventure on Westside this Christmas

There is something extra special to enjoy at the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham this Christmas, as Santa makes a welcome visit in person.

Last year’s lockdown restrictions meant that Father Christmas was confined to a virtual ‘Zoom with Santa’ experience, bringing the magic of the festive season into people’s homes.

But the popular visitor attraction at The Water’s Edge in Brindleyplace is now able to accommodate Santa’s Grotto for children to enjoy a wonderful meet and greet experience.

From now until December 24, Sea Life explorers will be able to marvel at more than 2,000 amazing creatures ranging from awesome sharks and cheeky penguins to the UK’s only sea otters, Ozzy and Ola, before entering the glittering grotto where Santa and his elves will waiting.

Every child who visits Santa in his magical winter wonderland before he heads back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve will also be given a present to take home and enjoy.

Tickets for Santa’s Grotto must be pre-booked online in advance and are priced at £5 per child. All guests must also hold a valid ticket to Sea Life Birmingham for the same day.

Babies under 12 months do not require a ticket if they are accompanying another paying child, unless parents would like them to have the full Santa experience with their own gift.
