Westside BID team launches video Christmas greetings

Members of the Westside BID team, ranging from street wardens to the chairman, have issued a heartfelt Christmas video message.

The personal two-and-a-half minute message is aimed at BID members and the wider public to celebrate Christmas while also acknowledging the challenges of 2020.

The YouTube video features the BID’s management team, Westside wardens, and the Chairman of the Westside board, Dipesh Mistry.

It opens by acknowledging the strange and difficult year for businesses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the video’s main message is how the BID has continued to work hard to support members and keep them informed throughout the crisis, while looking forward to welcoming the public back to their favourite entertainment and hospitality destinations in 2021.

Mr Mistry says on the video: “We can all appreciate and acknowledge how much of a tough year it has been for everyone. And therefore, with that in mind, I really do hope over this festive period that you get the opportunity to spend some quality time with your friends and families.

“I would also like to say a huge thank you to our BID office team and our warden team for keeping the show on the road during this really challenging year and keeping everybody safe.”

He added: “Looking ahead to 2021, I am personally really confident it’s going to be a great year, not only for Westside but also for the city of Birmingham.”

The general manager of Westside BID, Mike Olley, said: “This year has been challenging, however at this time we want people to try and enjoy the festivities safely with family and friends and try to look forward in 2021.

“We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy 2021”.
