Film Birmingham chief speaks at lunch celebrating International Women’s Day on Westside

Sindy Campbell, the head of Film Birmingham, is speaking at a special lunch event on Westside next week in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The Hats & Heels Network for Ladies has organised the lunch at the Piccolino restaurant, in the heart of Brindleyplace, supported by Westside BID.

Ms Campbell will be discussing her exciting role at Film Birmingham, the official film and TV office of Birmingham City Council, which helps TV and filmmakers’ production needs in the city.

Guests to the event on Tuesday 7 March 2023 can enjoy a two-course lunch consisting of a main meal followed by a dessert, accompanied by a glass of prosecco or an alternative non-alcoholic drink, for just £35.

Lorraine Olley, founder of Hats & Heels, said: “I am so excited about this event which will be taking place on the eve of International Women’s Day – a day which officially recognises and celebrates the achievements of woman everywhere.

“Our guest speaker is an amazing woman doing wonderful things for Birmingham.  Sindy Campbell runs Film Birmingham and is helping to attract major television and film makers from across the globe to our city. I can’t wait to hear her story.”

Ms Olley added: “It will be a time to recharge, be inspired and have fun. Women of all ages, professions and backgrounds are welcome to come and celebrate with us.”

Luisa Huggins, media and communications at Westside BID, added: “We are thrilled that Hats & Heels is returning to Westside again. It’s a wonderful event and it’s always a great turn out.

“With the great speaker and beautiful food served by Piccolino, attendees are in for a real treat.”
