Midlands blues band The Nitecrawlers are set to ‘relaunch’ their debut CD at the regular Henry’s Blueshouse on Westside.
The special show at Velvet Music Rooms on Broad Street comes exactly two years after the original launch was planned but then postponed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
But now the Wolverhampton-based band’s Unlock The Blues album will be presented live in all its glory on Tuesday 15 March.
Jazz and blues grandee Jim Simpson, of Big Bear Music, said: “The Nitecrawlers’ original launch date suffered from spectacularly unlucky timing two years ago.
“The band had firmly established themselves as one of the most popular performers at Henry’s Blueshouse, and also played a bunch of festivals and clubs honing their music until they felt ready to record.
“They went into the recording studio ready to rock – which is evidenced by the great end product, the Unlock The Blues album.
“The obvious place to launch the album was at Henry’s Blueshouse, which they planned, with media coverage and promotion plans in place until along came Covid and the whole thing, along with the music business in general, came to a sudden and grinding halt.
“Now, exactly two years later, with Covid now pretty much accepted as part of life, The Nitecrawlers are set to pick up where they left off and are set to relaunch their debut album on Tuesday 15 March at Henry’s Blueshouse, now comfortably settled into our new home at Velvet Music Rooms.”
Velvet Music Rooms is at 200 Broad Street. For further information, please contact Jim Simpson via email at jim@bigbearmusic.com or by calling 0121 454 7020.
