Westside BID backs city council’s economic development survey

Westside BID is to work closely with the city council on a new survey to help update the Birmingham Development Plan.

The city-wide survey of businesses will help the council to understand future development needs as it prepares new local planning policies and identifies land for commercial and industrial development.

Westside BID has backed the survey and is now encouraging as many business members as possible to complete it before the end of this month.

Mike Olley, general manager of Westside BID, said: “I think it’s extremely useful that the council have created this detailed survey, which will enable businesses to pinpoint their exact concerns and thoughts for the future.

“It’s all about working collaboratively to ensure that we achieve the very best results that are beneficial to everyone. It’s important that we get this right, because the economy is the pinnacle of our daily lives”.

To complete the 5-minute survey, visit: Birmingham Business Survey. The closing date for the survey is 5pm on Thursday 30 September 2021. All information will be treated confidentially.
