Hotels and hospitality management company expanding its Westside expertise

A new hospitality management company based on Westside in the heart of Birmingham’s entertainment district is continuing to grow.

Switch Hospitality Management (SWHM), situated on Broad Street, is looking to expand its management services to other business owners, including hotels and wider hospitality venues.

The company is made up of the management team that were already managing the Park Regis Birmingham hotel and they have now joined to form SWHM.

To help with its expansion, the company has also launched a new website, which highlights the services it offers, ranging from hotel management and brand selection to feasibility and due diligence.

John Angus, managing director of SWHM, said the company had already grown significantly through the pandemic and had now decided to expand its management services.

He said: “I am bursting with enthusiasm for the launch of our new website. I believe the site portrays the professionalism and quality that our team have to offer. It is also fantastic to share some positive news in these uncertain times.

“We are a hospitality company that has kept our businesses and teams operating and in profit. We are also recruiting to continue the development of our teams. To see a new hospitality company flourish out of the pandemic is a rarity and should be celebrated.

“We have recently taken over contracts from established management companies and found that they managed too much on theory and from a distance. We are the opposite: we immerse ourselves in every business and deliver results.

“In a recent HOTSTATS review our hotels were outperforming the UK standard for profit by over 40 per cent. We all felt that we had to share our experience with other owners.”

Mr Angus added: “Any business owner who is not happy with their current performance should give us a call. They won’t be disappointed!”

SWHM has been created with a collection of the most experienced industry experts in their fields, totalling more than 100 years of managerial experience across the team.

The full team, shown in the picture at the top of this story, is: (from left) Stuart Gillespie, commercial director; Emma Keeble, people director; Aimee Smith, marketing director; John Angus, managing director; Ryan Doyle, sales director; and Steven Holt, finance director.
