Westside launches mini video series to support ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme for members

A new series of videos to support the new ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme has been launched by Westside BID.

The scheme, funded by the government, is to help encourage diners back to their favourite eating venues which have reopened following the COVID-19 lockdown.

Plenty of restaurant, bars and cafés across Westside are taking part, including Velvet Music Rooms on Broad Street.

The BID has commissioned video experts from Magic Lantern Media to create the videos, and the first one shows local Instagram food blogger @typsycooks enjoying a delicious meal served by Velvet manager Steve Emmison.

The Velvet Music Rooms video can be watched here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVLPhnyxKS4&feature=youtu.be

Dani Collins, the owner of Velvet Music Rooms, said: “We’re really happy that Westside BID is supporting us and many of the other businesses on this scheme.

“It’s times like now that we really need to come together and support each other, and Westside has once again shown that it’s willing to do this for its business members.”

Luisa Huggins, media manager at Westside BID, said: “Supporting our businesses has always and will always be our focus here at Westside BID.

“I think the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme is a great idea and that it will encourage people to some of Westside’s most popular eateries.

“Creating these snappy social media videos demonstrates the safety precautions venues are taking and showcases venues within the district that are involved with the scheme.”

If any businesses want the BID’s video team to work on specific content produced for them, they can contact Magic Lantern Media at enquiries@magiclanternmedia.co.uk.
