This summer, escape the rush and reconnect with the great outdoors—all while supporting a vital cause. Birmingham Mind, the city’s leading mental health charity, is inviting individuals from all walks of life to take part in the Big Hike – Shropshire Hills Challenge, a 22-kilometre trek through some of England’s most stunning countryside.
Against the backdrop of a growing mental health crisis, this event is more than just a physical challenge. It’s a call to action—promoting wellness, encouraging community, and raising essential funds for mental health services across Birmingham.
The hike begins in the picturesque market town of Church Stretton and leads participants through the serene Shropshire Hills, including Pole Bank (512m), Haddon Hill, and Bodbury Hill.
Along the way, hikers will enjoy expansive views, peaceful trails, and the restorative power of nature—proven to reduce stress, improve sleep, and boost overall wellbeing.
Whether you’re an experienced hiker or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, the Big Hike offers a unique opportunity to prioritise your mental health while supporting others.

Registration is £35 (plus booking fee) and includes:
