This Christmas, Birmingham favourite Del Villaggio is turning up the seasonal cheer with a new festive menu designed to add sparkle to winter celebrations. For those seeking inspiration for holiday dining, the long-standing Italian restaurant may have the answer.
Del Villaggio has built a reputation for authentic Italian cooking and currently holds the top spot as Birmingham’s highest-rated Italian restaurant on TripAdvisor. From the 6th November – 24th December, the venue is serving a specially curated Christmas menu priced at £35.95 for two courses or £39.95 for three.
The kitchen team is showcasing a selection of its standout dishes. Starters include Arancini Porcini—saffron-infused arborio croquettes filled with a smooth wild mushroom purée—and Salsicce al Forno, oven-baked Italian sausages in a rich Marzano tomato sauce.
The main course selection ranges from Pollo Grigliato, a marinated chicken breast served with rosemary roasted potatoes, to a pan-fried seabream topped with prawns and finished with a bright lemon sauce. Those looking for a traditional Christmas feast, can opt for Tacchino Rullato, a festive turkey roulade with ham, mozzarella, spinach, and mushrooms, while vegetarians are catered for with Pasta al Forno, baked with courgettes, mixed peppers, and onions in a tomato and cream sauce.
Desserts round off the meal with classic Italian indulgence. Highlights include Panettone studded with candied fruits, a rich Rollato chocolate Swiss roll filled with cream, and an Affogato combining Amaretto Disaronno, espresso, vanilla ice cream, and cinnamon.
