Find out how someone in YOUR business can play at being TV weather girl Shefali Oza for the day

Does anyone in your business fancy the chance to play at being weather girl ‘Shefali Oza’ for the day?

Well now they can, because businesses across Westside have been invited to host and present the weather for a local TV station is a unique partnership created by Westside BID.

Birmingham TV has its local operations based on Westside and has been working with the BID on a new studio in Quayside Tower.

Not that this is up and running, Westside BID is inviting any businesses who want to have Birmingham TV visit their premises to film members of their staff presenting the weather for a day.

Luisa Huggins, communications manager at Westside BID, said: “We have been working hard to provide some new opportunities for members within the district, and we’re delighted to offer this unique opportunity to present the weather.

“We will be operating this five days a week, and it’s a great opportunity for businesses to both showcase themselves and to promote the district.”

The ‘present the weather’ filming takes no longer than 40 minutes and it will be showcased on Birmingham TV’s Channel 7 that same evening.

The BID has also launched a new ‘Westside Marketing Squad’  which will invite anyone working in the sales, marketing, events and communications sector to a bi-monthly meet up.

Ms Huggins said: “We will be discussing upcoming marketing opportunities and identifying ways the BID can continue supporting members in their promotional activity.

“In addition to the bi-monthly meetings, members will also be invited into a private social media group to continue conversations and ideas.

Anyone wanting to take part in the above opportunities should email Luisa at luisa.huggins@westsidebid.co.uk.
