Videos: Westside events celebrate International Women’s Day in style

Westside pulled out all the stops to celebrate International Women’s Day with a trio of virtual and in-person events to celebrate the recognition of women globally.

More than 40 ladies from companies and hospitality venues across the Westside area gathered at Lulu Wild in Brindleyplace on 7 March, for a special dinner, held in association with the Hats and Heels Networking Group.

Guests attending the event included representatives from businesses such as Core Marketing, Hampton by Hilton, Novotel, Curtins consulting, Alpha Tower, The Box sports bar, and Quay Space office solutions, as well as others from all walks of life.

Speakers at the event included Cherelle Harris, Inflight Lead for an international airline, who shared her experience traveling the world during a Q&A session, and Harriette Luscombe, co-founder of Coaches for Change, who spoke and answered question about the importance of achieving a good work-life balance.

The following day, Harriette continued the series of events by leading an online female empowerment class to celebrate International Women’s Day, featuring a mixture of yoga, pilates and high-intensity interval training to help improve self-confidence and personal growth, exclusively for Westside BID members.
