A devoted Black Sabbath fan Stephen Simpson has travelled all the way from Arizona to Birmingham’s Westside to pay tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne at the city’s iconic Black Sabbath Bench.
The visitor made the trip to the popular Broad Street landmark, which has become a focal point for fans from around the world celebrating the legacy of Birmingham’s most famous heavy metal band. During the visit, the fan also created a striking painting inspired by the artwork from Ozzy Osbourne’s No More Tours 2 tour, honouring the legendary frontman and his enduring influence on rock music.


The tribute is the latest example of the global appeal of Birmingham’s heavy metal heritage, with the Black Sabbath Bench continuing to attract visitors from across the UK and overseas. Since Ozzy’s passing, fans have left flowers, messages and personal tributes at the site, reflecting the deep affection held for the rock icon.
Westside BID says the continuing stream of international visitors highlights the lasting cultural significance of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne, with the Broad Street bench remaining one of Birmingham’s most photographed landmarks and a must-visit destination for music fans from around the world.
