If laughter is indeed the best medicine, then comedy lovers can expect a huge dose of it on Westside later this month.
The Distillery pub in Sheepcote Street is playing host to not one but two special comedy shows in support of the Birmingham Mind mental health charity.
The fun-filled Belly Laughs nights will be taking place at The Distillery on Thursday 23 January and Friday 31 January, between 7pm and 10pm, with £10 from each ticket sold going to Birmingham Mind, which is based on Broad Street.
Audiences can expect a talented line-up of comedians, both established and up-and-coming, but the identities of the individual performers will not be revealed until the night itself.
Tickets to attend the Belly Laughs comedy evenings at The Distillery cost £30, which also includes a main meal and an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink on arrival. The three menu options include pulled lamb shawarma, buttermilk chicken burger and vegan cheeseburger.

Lauren Willis, head of sales at Mosaic Pub & Dining, said they were proud to be presenting Belly Laughs Birmingham 2025 in aid of Birmingham Mind.
She said: “This is the fourth year of running the Belly Laughs comedy shows, always in January and always to raise money for a worthwhile charity. This year it is the brilliant Birmingham Mind who we’ve done quite a lot with in the past.
“We’re always looking to support them and are delighted to be doing these comedy shows to raise money for them.”
Birmingham Mind will actually benefit from four Belly Laughs nights during January, with two shows also taking place at The Button Factory in Frederick Street, Jewellery Quarter, on 24 and 30 January.
