A new community event promoting sustainable fashion while supporting mental health awareness will take place at Manahatta on Temple Street on Tuesday 15th September 2026, from 5pm to 7pm.
Organised by Mind Birmingham, the Swap Shop invites members of the public to bring along pre-loved clothing and accessories to exchange for new-to-them items, encouraging recycling, reducing waste and giving wardrobes a fresh update for a very small cost. The initiative also aims to raise funds and awareness for the local mental health charity.
Birmingham Mind provides a range of mental health and wellbeing services across the city, including community support, wellbeing hubs, supported accommodation, training and a helpline for people experiencing mental health difficulties.
As well as swapping clothes, attendees can enjoy a social evening and connect with others in the community while supporting an important cause.
