The Birmingham Poppy Appeal Team gathered at the Brasshouse on Broad Street for its annual Summer Seminar, bringing together volunteers, organisers and fundraising partners to prepare for this year’s Poppy Appeal.
Representatives from Westside BID, Jewellery Quarter BID, Soho BID, Sutton Coldfield, Jaguar Land Rover, Birmingham East 1 and the Shirley Team attended the event to hear about new plans and initiatives for the 2026 Appeal.

The seminar also celebrated Birmingham’s outstanding fundraising success. Earlier this year, the team received an award for achieving the highest increase in cashless donations across the region, with an impressive 196% rise compared with 2024.
Overall, Birmingham led the region by raising an additional £50,000 year-on-year, achieving a remarkable total of £417,928.52. Special recognition was given to Elaine from Westside BID, whose fundraising efforts contributed an exceptional £62,714.00.

With fundraising totals continuing to grow alongside volunteer numbers, the Birmingham Poppy Appeal Team is encouraging more individuals and organisations to get involved in supporting the Armed Forces community through this year’s Appeal.
