Sanctuary of Smiles Hub Opens New City Centre Location to Expand Family Support Services.

A new chapter has began for Birmingham-based Matt’s Mission Children’s Charity as earlier this month the organisation officially opened its new city centre hub, creating a dedicated space to support children with life-limiting illnesses, disabilities, and complex needs.

The charity, founded by Matthew Denning in 2011, has spent more than a decade granting wishes, providing family experiences, and offering practical support to families facing some of life’s toughest challenges. The new premises will serve as a community hub where children and families can access activities, support services, and respite opportunities.

Among those supporting the project is Westside BID’s Business Liaison Manager, Elaine Weir, who also recently joined the charity’s board of trustees.

Elaine Weir, Trustee said:

“The opening of our new hub is a significant milestone for The Sanctuary of Smiles Hub and the families we support. This space will enable us to expand our services, bring people together and create even more opportunities for children and their families to make lasting memories. I am proud to be part of the charity’s future and excited to see the positive impact this facility will have across our community.”

Matthew Denning, Founder of Matt’s Mission Children’s Charity, said:

“This hub has been a dream for a long time and seeing it officially open is incredibly special. Everything we do is focused on putting smiles on children’s faces and supporting families when they need it most. Having a dedicated home for the charity will allow us to do even more, and I want to thank our supporters, volunteers and partners who have helped make this vision a reality.”
