Westside Wardens are strengthening their ability to support vulnerable members of the public through the use of the MAAPP LinkIndex, an innovative safeguarding resource that provides instant access to thousands of support services and professional resources via QR codes.
The LinkIndex, developed by MAAPP (Multi Agency Application), is designed to help frontline professionals quickly access trusted information and signposting services while working in the community. The resource contains access to thousands of safeguarding, wellbeing, health, housing, mental health, domestic abuse, and family support services, enabling practitioners to make informed decisions and provide timely assistance.
For Westside Wardens, who regularly engage with people experiencing vulnerability, homelessness, mental health challenges, and social isolation, the LinkIndex offers a practical tool that can be accessed instantly from a smartphone while on patrol. This allows wardens to connect individuals with appropriate support services without delay.

Westside Warden Enoch White said:
“Having immediate access to a wide range of support resources enhances our knowledge and confidence when dealing with vulnerable people. The LinkIndex helps us identify the right services and provide effective signposting at the point of contact.”
By incorporating the MAAPP LinkIndex into their daily patrols, Westside Wardens are further demonstrating their commitment to community safety, welfare, and proactive support.
