Director of Facilities and Operations role open at The Birmingham Rep.

The Rep has announced a new opportunity for a Director of Facilities & Operations, with applications closing at midday on Monday 15th June 2026.

The role is responsible for leading the strategic and day-to-day management of the organisation’s buildings and operational teams, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality customer service and maximising revenue. The postholder will also hold key responsibilities for licensing compliance and act as the organisation’s Competent Person for health and safety, including chairing the H&S Committee and working closely with external advisors.

Working in partnership with the Library of Birmingham and commercial partners, the successful candidate will oversee shared spaces, ensure all sites remain safe, compliant and welcoming, and manage contractors to deliver efficient, high-standard services. The role also includes leading on environmental sustainability strategy, capital projects, maintenance programmes and wider facilities planning.

The role is offered on a permanent basis at 39 hours per week, with a salary of £60,000 per annum.
