Westside Walking Group Takes First Steps Towards Stronger Community Connections

Westside BID’s new Walking Group initiative has officially taken its first steps, bringing together workers and members of the local community for an informal walk around the district.

The inaugural session saw participants enjoy fresh air, conversation and the opportunity to connect with others while exploring Westside’s public spaces and attractions. The initiative has been launched to encourage wellbeing, community engagement and social connection across the area.

Business Liaison Manager Elaine Weir said:

“The first walk as a positive start, with plans already underway for the next session on the 27th May. Additional walking dates are also scheduled throughout the coming months as the programme continues to grow.”

The Walking Group forms part of Westside BID’s wider commitment to supporting a healthier, more connected community for those who live, work and visit the district.
