Westside BID Launches Walking Group To Encourage Community Connection

A new community walking group has been launched by the Westside Business Improvement District, offering local residents and workers a chance to explore the area together while improving wellbeing and social connection.

The initiative, listed on Eventbrite, invites participants to take part in organised walks designed to bring people together in an informal, welcoming setting. The group forms part of Westside BID’s wider focus on community engagement and wellbeing across the district.

“The sessions are about more than just exercise, it has a particular emphasis on conversation, connection and shared experience in the heart of the city. We will be working closely with the Canal and River Trust on this project and they will be leading some of the walks.

We want to create opportunities for people who work, live and spend time in Westside to connect in a relaxed and positive way.”
