Royal British Legion Fundraising Surges as Total More Than Doubles Last Year’s Effort.

Birmingham has delivered a standout fundraising performance this year, raising £71,118.51 in support of the Royal British Legion. The campaign was led by Business Liaison Manager Elaine Weir of Westside BID, with contributions from key stakeholders across the city helping drive the total well above last year’s £38,000.

The increase highlights strengthened coordination between city partners and growing public engagement across key locations in Birmingham.

Nationally, the UK raised £54.1 million, a 5% increase on the previous year, showing steady growth in fundraising activity across the country.

Elaine Weir said:

“This year’s response has been outstanding. It’s been a privilege to lead the campaign, and it’s been inspiring to see key stakeholders and the wider Birmingham community unite in support of the Royal British Legion. “
