Natalie Smith Named Sales Employee of the Month at Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland

Natalie Smith, Sales Manager at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham, has been recognised as the Sales Employee of the Month for Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland, celebrating her exceptional dedication to client service and team collaboration.

Since joining the hotel just over a year ago, Natalie has built a reputation for a “people first” approach to sales. “Strong results come from genuinely understanding what a client needs and making sure they feel looked after from the first conversation onwards,” she explains. Her approach reflects the core values of Leonardo Hotels, prioritising consistent, high-quality service and long-term client relationships over quick wins.

Teamwork is central to her success. Natalie emphasizes that sales doesn’t happen in isolation, highlighting the importance of close collaboration with colleagues across operations, events, revenue, and front-of-house teams. “Open communication and collaboration allow us to deliver a seamless experience for our guests,” she says, noting that partnerships with local businesses are equally important in staying connected to the market and creating mutual opportunities.

For Natalie, the most rewarding aspect of her role is the people she works with. “I’m lucky to have great support and guidance from my Director of Sales, as well as the wider hotel and sales team, which makes a huge difference day to day,” she says. The dynamic nature of the role—meeting new clients, exploring local industries, and being an ambassador for the hotel—keeps her motivated and engaged.

With her dedication to authentic client relationships, teamwork, and proactive engagement, Natalie exemplifies the standard of excellence that Leonardo Hotels strives to deliver, both to clients and the wider business community.
