Final Countdown to Vote in the Westside BID Ballot

With just two days remaining until the deadline, businesses across the Westside district are being urged to submit their votes in the BID ballot, which closes at 5:00 PM on Thursday 3rd July 2025

This marks the final opportunity for eligible businesses to have their say in shaping the next five years of investment, support, and improvement across the area. Over recent weeks, the response to the ballot has been overwhelmingly positive, with a strong show of support from many local businesses keen to see the continuation of services provided by the BID.

Since its inception, Westside BID has been instrumental in delivering a safer, cleaner, and more vibrant environment through initiatives such as:

  • Enhanced security and street cleaning services
  • Local marketing and promotional support
  • Community events and business engagement opportunities
  • and much more.

These initiatives have helped attract footfall, support local businesses, and enhance the overall experience for visitors, workers, and residents in the area.

Voting takes less than a minute. Eligible businesses should have received a bright yellow C5 envelope containing their ballot paper, along with a prepaid brown return envelope. Once completed, ballot papers can be returned by post.

Businesses that received more than one envelope are entitled to cast multiple votes—each must be completed and returned individually.

To ensure ballots are counted before the deadline, there are two final return options:

  • Hand-deliver your completed ballot paper to The Electoral Services Team at Birmingham City Council House
  • Or contact the BID office to arrange a secure collection of your ballot paper by an independent party.

Key Details at a Glance:

  • Voting deadline: 5:00 PM, Thursday 3rd July 2025
  • Ballot return options: Hand-delivery to Birmingham City Council or contact the BID office so they can arrange for an independent collection.
