Westside BID proudly attended the launch of Working Class Hero, a new exhibition at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery organised by Central BID celebrating the extraordinary solo career and achievements of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. Among the highlights of the day was the recognition of Ozzy’s Birmingham Walk of Stars award, presented by Westside BID, which forms a key part of the exhibition.
During the event, Luisa Huggins and Elaine Weir from Westside BID had the pleasure of meeting Sharon Osbourne, who attended the opening and cut the black ribbon in support of Ozzy’s legacy.

In an interview with Central BID Sharon Osbourne said: “This exhibition is a real celebration of everything Ozzy has achieved and the city that made him. We’re absolutely thrilled to share it with the fans – Birmingham, this one’s for you.”
Sam Watson, Chair of Central BID Birmingham, said: “Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath helped shape modern music and put Birmingham on the global cultural map. These exhibitions are a celebration of our city’s creativity, influence and spirit. Central BID is proud to give fans the chance to walk in the footsteps of true legends.”

Running from the 25th June – 28th September 2025, Working Class Hero is a free exhibition that showcases Ozzy Osbourne’s international accolades, including Grammy Awards, MTV awards, his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and his stars on both the Hollywood and Birmingham Walks of Fame. It also features iconic album artwork from the original Black Sabbath line-up, platinum and gold records, plus rare photography and video footage.
The exhibition coincides with Black Sabbath’s historic homecoming concert at Villa Park on Saturday 5th July 2025.
