The Birmingham Rep is set to debut new work from Birmingham-based theatre company, White Bear Productions. All My Pretty Ones, the second instalment of a historic trilogy by Patrick Hayes, follows the success of Les Vaches Dans Le Champ. The play will open on Wednesday 14th May, at 8pm, with a limited run until Saturday 17th May.
All My Pretty Ones dramatizes the harrowing true events of 1944 in Oradour-sur-Glane, a French village ravaged by Nazi violence during World War II. The story is told from the perspective of three young medical students—a German girl, Miriam; a French girl, Marie Christine; and a British boy, Steve—who are traveling together to the south of France.
In this compelling production, the lead roles will be played by Alice Orlik, making her professional debut as Miriam, Katie Cannon (known for Alice in Wonderland at New Vic Theatre) as Marie Christine, and Talyaan Pambou (The Brummie Iliad, Lightpost Theatre) as Steve.

The ensemble cast also includes Andrew Cullum as Maurice, Bryony Tebbutt as Aurélie, Clement James as Pierre, Annaliese Morgan as Claudine, Leah Fennel as Monique, Amara Latchford as Lucien, Giles Whorton as Hans, and Greg Hobbs as an SS Officer.
Set against the backdrop of wartime tragedy, the story begins when the trio, stranded with no accommodations, are taken in by Maurice, the owner of a local guesthouse, ‘Les Quatre Vents.’ As strange occurrences unfold, the tragic events of 1944 begin to come to light. The audience is transported to the past, as the ghostly remnants of a former farmhouse and its inhabitants are revived, leading the students on a poignant journey to uncover the truth of the horrific massacre that took place in Oradour-sur-Glane on 10 June 1944, when Nazi forces murdered the entire village.

All My Pretty Ones is written and co-produced by Patrick Hayes, co-founder of White Bear Productions. The creative team includes Marcus Fernado (Director), Fateha Begum (Producer), Jobe Sullivan (Music Composer), Nathan Bowyer (Stage Manager), Paul Withers (Lighting and Sound), Abeda Begum (Costumes), and Angie Chapman (Set Design).
