Westside BID marks St. Patrick’s Day with Irish band performance at Baskerville House.

To mark the festive occasion of St. Patrick’s Day, the Westside Business Improvement District (BID) brought some Irish flair to the area by sponsoring a lively performance by a traditional Irish band within Baskerville house on Monday 17th March 2025.

The event, designed to celebrate the cultural richness of Ireland, took place in the heart of Westside and was a resounding success, bringing an upbeat atmosphere to the local business district.

The Irish band performed a vibrant set of traditional tunes, filling the air with the familiar sounds of fiddles, flutes, and rhythmic beats. Their lively performance offered an authentic taste of Irish music, ensuring that St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated in true Irish style.

This initiative was part of Westside BIDs ongoing efforts to enhance the community experience and bring joy to the employees that call the area home. By supporting such cultural events, Westside BID continues to celebrate the rich diversity of the city.

Front of house Manager Amanda said:

“The band were incredible at working with the needs of the building and played a wonderful set of Irish songs for the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

The tenants in the building were very happy taking photographs and videos, dancing and watching from the upper balcony overlooking the ground floor reception to enjoy the beautiful music.

A huge thank you to Elaine Weir for all of her work in making this happen.”

Business Liaison manager Elaine Weir said:

“Westside BID was excited to sponsor this vibrant performance at Baskerville House. As an organisation, we are dedicated to embracing and celebrating the city’s rich diversity. We’re delighted to see that the tenants of Baskerville House enjoyed the experience so much.”

With St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in full swing, the energetic sounds of the Irish band brought some much-needed cheer to the local community, leaving everyone in high spirits as they embraced the festive atmosphere. The event was a perfect example of how the Westside BID is committed to making the area a lively, engaging, and welcoming place for everyone.

This St. Patrick’s Day performance was a wonderful way to celebrate Irish culture and bring some extra joy to the workday, and Westside BID looks forward to continuing to host events that bring the community together.
