Join the Unofficial Book Club at All Bar One on Westside

A new book club at a Westside bar is hosting regular monthly events, with dates now scheduled well into the new year.

The Unofficial Book Club launched at All Bar One on Brindleyplace in October, and after a second successful evening on 19 November is now taking bookings for December onwards.

The monthly club nights run from 5.30 to 7pm on Tuesdays, with the next dates on 17 December, 21 January,18 February, 18 March and 15 April.

Prabjot Ragbotra, the bookings and events manager at All Bar One, explained that are no assigned readings or deadlines, and that members simply bring whatever book they are currently enjoying and share their thoughts.

She said there are also no obligations to stay the full time, or to leave the venue at 7pm – club members are welcome to on mingling and chatting.

Ms Ragbotra added: “We are aiming to be a relaxed space for book lovers or those looking to read more, without the pressure of traditional book club rules.

“There’s no need to prepare anything formal – just bring your enthusiasm for reading and an openness to discuss different books and ideas with each other. You may inspire someone to pick up the book you’ve just finished!”

All Bar One is at Units 12G-13G Waters Edge, Brindleyplace. Anyone interested can book spaces at book club evenings via Eventbrite here.
