One of the top live rock bands around are ready to entertain music fans on Westside.
Fred Zeppelin have been performing the music of legendary rickers Led Zeppelin for more than 30 years.
But ‘The Fredz’ are more than just any old tribute band, having previously been voted one of the top ten best live bands to see in a poll of readers of Kerrang music magazine.
The band will be playing at The Flapper in Cambrian Wharf on Friday 26 July, with the concert having previously been postponed from last December.
During their 31 years of performing together, Fred Zeppelins have had the honour of Led Zeppelin front-man Robert Plant attending three of their gigs and John Bonham’s son Jason even jammed with them on stage.
These are things the band are very proud of, and surely serve as the best recommendation for any Led Zeppelin fans apprehensive about seeing them play.
Other music stars spotted in Fred Zeppelin audiences over the years have included Roy Wood of The Move and Wizzard fame, Whitesnake guitarist Mel Galley, Magnum front-man Bob Catley, and Jimmy Lea of Slade.
Fred Zeppelin were also invited by Led Zeppelin’s legendary guitarist Jimmy Page to attend a charity event of which Jimmy is a patron. Tickets to see Fred Zeppelin at The Flapper on 26 July, from 7pm, are £11 in advance or £15 on the door.
