Ballet Black dance company returns to The Rep next month

The award-winning dance company Ballet Black is returning to The Rep by popular demand with their new double bill.

The show called Ballet Black: HEROES includes a performance of If At First by choreographer Sophie Laplane, inspired by the themes of humanity, heroism and self-acceptance.

Completing the double bill will be an exciting and energetic work called The Waiting Game, where choreographer Mthuthuzeli November contemplates the meaning of life with a dynamic soundtrack featuring the voices of Ballet Black artists.

Ballet Black has transformed the landscape of British ballet, creating a prominent platform for dancers and artists of Black and Asian descent. Its new canon of ballet repertoire now resonates with audiences around the world.

Ballet Black: HEROES is on at The Rep on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 June.

Tickets are on sale now from £16.50. Book here or call or 0121 236 4455.
