VIDEO: Westside’s Easter Bunny makes holiday season smiles better

Westside’s Easter Bunny has been out and about to prove that everybody’s favourite season of spring is really here.

Our Easter Bunny pops up on Brindleyplace.

After record rainfall during the winter, the weather at the beginning of the early Easter holidays was wet and windy again this week – but our Bunny wasn’t caught on the hop.

Our Easter Bunny visits the Foundry.

Westside BID guaranteed that he would be putting smiles on faces by sending him dancing through the streets with a trolley full of sweet treats to hand out. You can watch our video of the East Bunny’s tour of Westside here:

Accompanied by the BID’s business liaison manager Elaine Weir, the Easter Bunny went on a magical mystery tour of Broad Street and Brindleyplace, popping into hotels, offices and attractions including the National Sea Life Centre.

Our Easter Bunny was everywhere!

Everyone from office workers to mums and dads, children and even people out walking with their own furry pets wore smiles as broad as Centenary Square when they encountered the fun-loving, light-footed rabbit with a cheerful big grin.

Everyone loved our Easter Bunny!

Luisa Huggins, marketing and communications manager at Westside BID, said: “Our Easter Bunny distributed Easter hampers to spread some positivity in the district and to celebrate Easter.  We were giving out chocolates so you can’t go wrong and the Bunny was a massive hit.

These pet dogs didn’t quite know whether to bark or wag their tails at our Easter Bunny!

“We brought him out last year and he was such a success. We just think it adds a really lovely, creative touch and to see people smiling and engaging makes it all so worthwhile.

Our Easter Bunny measures up to the statue of Claude Auchinleck at Five Ways.

“Our job as a business improvement district is to ensure that we are helping to make the area really vibrant and enjoyable for people who work in the area.”

What a popular Easter Bunny!

The Bunny was even spotted literally dancing in the street outside of Snobs which has already opened on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights ahead of completing its full redevelopment later next month.

Let’s go dancing!

Luisa added: “What a great way to celebrate Snobs also coming to Westside. Let’s have the Easter Bunny up there having a good dance and just spreading some cheer, that’s what it’s all about.”

Our Easter Bunny and \Westside BID’s Elaine Weir complete their adventures!
