Free guided walk along canals is latest Westside wellbeing event

Westside BID has organised a free 30-minute guided walk along the canals as part of its series of wellbeing events.

The relaxing stroll starts at 12.30pm on Monday 18 March from outside the Sea Life Centre and ends up with tasty light refreshments at the Canal House.

The special walk has been arranged in partnership with the Canal & River Trust and Coaches For Change, Westside BID’s wellbeing partners, who say a 30-minute walk has the following benefits:

  • Strengthens muscles
  • Controls cholesterol levels
  • Regulate blood pressure
  • Reduces stress
  • Improves mental health
  • Delays aging
  • Boosts immunity
  • Improve heart health, and
  • Burns fat

Luisa Huggins, marketing manager at Westside BID, said: “Come and join us for a relaxing afternoon stroll along the beautiful canals of Westside.

“Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in nature.

“This guided walk is the perfect way to unwind, connect with others, and boost your wellbeing. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle! See you there!”

The event is for BID members only and anyone wanting more details can email Luisa at luisa.huggins@westsidebid.co.uk. Spaces for the event can be booked here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/westside-wellbeing-guided-walk-along-the-canals-tickets-852260944427.
