Choose your festive gifts at Ikon’s Winter Craft Market next month

Shoppers looking for a special or unusual gift for Christmas need look no further than a contemporary art gallery on Westside.

The Ikon Gallery in Oozells Square, Brindleyplace, is to hold its annual Winter Craft Market with a range of gift ideas to tempt visitors.

The market will take place on Thursday 7 December between the hours of 5.30 and 8.30pm. Entry to the event is free, with no need for people to book in advance.

More than 50 stalls will be in operation throughout the art gallery for people to browse, with products available to buy from a range of local makers, designers and artists.

Among the stallholders at the winter craft market will be those selling artwork, cards, clothing and textiles, ceramics, food and drink, glassware, jewellery, homeware and art prints.

Yorks Café at the Ikon will also be open during the market to serve festive drinks while visitors browse for presents.

If you cannot wait until 7 December to pick up a Christmas gift or two for your loved ones or friends, then you could visit the Ikon’s shop any time or search online for something special to buy.

Items range from books, prints and stationery to jewellery, porcelain and posters. All purchases go to support the gallery, which is a registered charity.
