A special networking and clay-making event has been organised on Westside to help people’s well-being and raise money for charity.
Mental health charity Mind is inviting people to take part in the creative fund-raising activity at The Distillery, 4 Sheepcote Street from 5 to 7.30pm on Thursday 19 October.

Kerrie Henry-Edge, fundraising officer at Birmingham Mind, which is based in Quayside Tower, said: “Art is known to be a great stress reliever and has a positive impact on mental health.
“This is a brilliant opportunity to practice mindfulness by switching off for a few hours and trying something different.
“Whether you are completely new to clay-making or you are a bit of a pro, this event is for everyone!”
Tickets are £30.50 a head, including all booking fees, and this will include a £10 donation to Birmingham Mind, an arrival drink and slice of pizza, and then a two-hour clay-making session with Rachel Akers from Akers of Art.
Luisa Huggins, communications manager at Westside BID, said: “What a great event which we’re more than happy to help promote.
“Westside BID is already running its own well-being project but we are always pleased to support other initiatives as we are committed to helping people’s mental health.”
