Velvet Music Rooms is providing even more toe-tapping entertainment for its customers every Friday, starting from tonight (21 April).
The top independent venue at 200 Broad Street already hosts two very successful evenings of live music in the form of Henry’s Blueshouse on Tuesdays and Birmingham Rocks on Sundays.
Now Velvet is to commence regular Friday night music spots, starting this evening with a performance by solo singer and guitarist Sean Reeves.
A further solo performer will be appearing next Friday, before bands take centre-stage every Friday from 5 May.
Details of future Friday live music gigs will follow in due course, with information to be listed on Velvet’s website, alongside listings for Henry’s and Birmingham Rocks performances, which are all free admission unless otherwise stated.
At the same time, Velvet Music Rooms is also launching the following special discount meals and drinks packages from today:
- Fiver Fridays, with mini cod and chips, beef burger and chips, spaghetti bolognese, gammon, peas and chips or chicken goujons and chips, plus vegetarian options, costing just £5
- Bottomless Brunch, available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, where customers can eat and drink for two hours at just £30 per person. The Bottomless Brunch menu includes fizz and cocktails, beer and cider, with any two bar snacks with fries, any main meal from the ‘favourites’ section and any burger.
Velvet co-owner Dani Hadley said: “We have really enjoyed entertaining our customers with our regular Henry’s Blueshouse and Birmingham Rocks gigs on Tuesdays and Sundays, so we thought why not offer them another live music night on top.
“For the first two Friday evenings, starting today, we have solo performers, but then we will be providing full-on bands for every Friday thereafter, ranging from tributes and reggae to covers and ska.
“We’re also introducing some great discount meals for just £5 from today which we’re sure will be popular with patrons, plus our Bottomless Brunch £30 deal, with loads of food, bubbly and cocktails galore!”
