A big business welcome to new Pakistan officials based in the heart of Westside

Westside BID has formally welcomed Pakistan Consul General Sardar Adnan Rashid and Deputy Consul General Sadia Malik to their new roles in Birmingham.

Mike Olley, general manager of Westside BID, was joined by Perry Barr MP Khalid Mahmood in meeting and greeting both officials at the Pakistan Consulate at The Wharf of Bridge Street.

Mr Olley said: “The Pakistan Consulate is based here in the heart of the Westside BID area and so I was delighted to give both Sardar Adnan Rashid and Sadia Malik a big welcome on behalf of the business community.

“The year 2022 is an important year for Pakistan as it represents 75 years since its birth as an independent nation.

“We enjoyed discussing various ideas of how we could celebrate both this significant anniversary and the fact that Birmingham is about to host the Commonwealth Games.”
