Westside back in the news over planned mural

Plans for a giant mural at Broadway Plaza have featured in a report on local television network Birmingham TV as Westside again makes the news.

The TV company, which interviewed Broadway Plaza centre manager Natal Chapman for the story, reported that the mural aims to celebrate Britain’s second city.

The mural project, entitled Birmingham and Me, is in partnership with One Great Day supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Birmingham and Me is inspired by what locals love about their city.

Businesses and the public alike will be asked to share their opinions of where they live, work or shop as part of a survey, allowing them to share what is important to them about their city.

Once all the answers have been collated, a local Birmingham illustrator will take on the task of creating a mural on a hoarding within Broadway Plaza.

The completed mural will be unveiled on September 25.

People are invited to visit the Broadway Plaza website at https://broadway-plaza.co.uk/to register their thoughts on what their city means to them and get involved in the Birmingham and Me project.
